About

What is this site about?

I’m just a random guy who loves wrestling and have decided to watch every major Pay Per View event the WWE has put on, starting with Wrestlemania I.  I’m going to go through each major PPV chronologically and write about each match and the overall event.  My thought is that these main events would be sufficient to me through the major beats and storylines of each year and would be a great way to go back and remember the classics.

I’m only including Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Summer Slam and Survivor Series and King of the Ring – for now.  This site does not include In Your House, Bad Blood, Fully Loaded, New Year’s Revolution, Unforgiven, No Mercy, Backlash, Judgement Day, Hell in Cell, Bragging Rights, Over the Limit, TLC or Money in the Bank

Does it include In Your House, Bad Blood, Fully Loaded, New Year’s Revolution, Unforgiven, No Mercy, Backlash, Judgement Day, Hell in Cell, Bragging Rights, Over the Limit, TLC or Money in the Bank?

Oh you.

Is it going to include King of the Ring?

Great question!  I originally wasn’t going to as WWE has not released the anthology for this one, which makes it pretty difficult to track down old matches.  However, thanks to sites like Daily Motion and Youtube, I seem to be able to cobble together the event.  We’ll see how it goes.

Who are you?

Just some guy

Who are you, seriously?

Honestly, just some guy, you know?  I just really like wrestling, but stopped watching in about 1995.  I started again about 3 years ago, so I have huge blank spots in my wrestling memory.  I totally missed the attitude era.

Who are some of your favorites?

Bret Hart, Undertaker, CM Punk, Ricky Steamboat, Cena, Marty Jannetty

How often do you update?

We’ll see.  I will try for weekly, recapping one PPV a week.  At this rate, it will take me about 2 years to catch up to current day.

Do you actually know anything about wrestling?  Because from what you write, it sounds like “not really”?

I don’t actually follow wrestling that closely and I miss most of the storylines.  While other people talk about “shoots” and “works” and whatever, I just see the glorious punch dance that is wrestling

How come you sometimes post about the match in the past tense and sometimes in the present tense?

I actually type the review as I watch the match, and since I don’t remember 98% of them, my typed reactions are genuine.  So I’ll jump between “when this match happened…” and “holy shit that move is great!”
